In 2011, Mr. Jude Kingsley, Mr. Trond Frestad, Mr Nixon Gomez started a destination management company only to organize inbound tours in Sri Lanka under the name Golanka.net. Initially, this company targeted mainly the students in the Scandinavian region of Europe who are keen on travelling. After several years, Mr. Jude Kingsley’s son, Mr. Yohan Nipuna, joined the team to take the company to another level. Unfortunately, Mr. Nixon Gomez passed away due to an illness and the rest of the team continues with the work.

After several years of experience, Golanka.net team decided to come up with fresh new ideas under the name Avem Travels, which means ‘Bird’ in Latin. We make our travelers feel like a bird to roam around the amazing island of Sri Lanka. Our main target is to show the beauty of Sri Lanka to the whole world. Sri Lanka is an amazing island with a proud history and culture with scenic surroundings full of flora and fauna.

Due to our great service for the customers for several years, we have become the top destination management company among the Europeans. We are specialized to organize special educational Travel programs to the students in Europe.

At present Avem travels is located at the heart of the tourist area in Negombo. We are always willing to satisfy our customers to the maximum and show them how beautiful our mother island is.

Our mission at Avem Travels is to create a memorable, personalised holiday experience for anyone who entrusts us with their vacation. As part of our growth, we also intend on adding more holiday destinations to our list; which will enable us to serve a larger client base.
